Launch the entendu app to see the welcome screen. Click the Sign in button in the center to go to the login page. New users get a 7-day trial with 50 free minutes.

Two sign-in methods are available.
Method A. Type your email into the input field, then click Continue and follow the prompts to verify.
Method B. Click the G Google button below to sign in with a Google account (recommended).

After signing in you land in the workspace. Drag a video or subtitle file directly into the dashed drop video / sub area in the middle to start a new task.

In macOS Finder, open the folder that holds your media and find the video to process (here: MJ_feature_…site.mov). Click and hold it, then move on to the next step to drag it into entendu.

Keep the mouse button pressed and drag the file onto the entendu window. Release once the window highlights; entendu will start parsing the video automatically.

Once the video is imported, a Captioning dialog appears.
• Dialogue — choose the spoken language (English by default).
• Include on-screen text as subtitles — toggle on to also capture titles, signs, and other readable text in the video.
• Click the Captioning button on the right to start generating subtitles. Choose Media Only on the left if you only want the audio track without AI captions.

When captioning finishes, the timeline editor opens. Click the Translate tab in the top toolbar to enter the translation workspace, where each caption line can be translated into another language.

The Events panel on the right lists every line with its Source (original) and Translation. Click any translation to edit it inline, or use Drop GPT and similar buttons to ask AI to rewrite a single line.

When the translations are ready, click the Export tab in the top toolbar, then click Export Subtitles. In the Export Subtitle File dialog, scroll to the COMMON section and choose Srt (.srt) to save the subtitles as a standard SRT file.
