From subtitle file to reviewable result

Workflow
100:00:01,000 → 00:00:04,000

1. Bring your project

Provide a subtitle file, target language, and any applicable client style guide or glossary. Review the rules and estimate before starting translation.

200:00:04,000 → 00:00:07,000

2. Translate and check

SubA processes the file with the project rules. An available host assistant can review the result and record supported corrections; host usage may apply.

300:00:07,000 → 00:00:10,000

3. Revise and export

Review individual cues, make supported revisions in the same job, and export in the original format. Human review remains necessary before delivery.

Designed for subtitle files

Formats

.srt.vtt.ttal.ttml.pxtt.dfxp

SubA supports SRT, VTT, TTAL, TTML, PXTT and DFXP workflows. Format support has boundaries: complex timing, markup or other file structures may require review or may not be supported. Check your actual file and export before delivery.

SubA is for processing subtitle files. It is not a video editor or a replacement for audiovisual approval.

Keep working when a check needs attention

When a completed result has outstanding QC issues, SubA can retain the work and provide a clearly labelled review draft with the reported issues. You can continue reviewing and revising the same job; a review draft is not a passed delivery.

Questions before you start

Questions

What do I need?

An entendu. service account, a supported AI host connection and a subtitle file. Open the SubA plugin listing, select “Open in desktop app”, and follow the connection instructions in your supported host. Provide your project's style guide and glossary when available. Check service availability and your estimate before adding funds or starting work.

How is usage charged?

SubA shows an estimate before translation. SubA service usage and your AI host's conversation or review allowance are separate. Review the current estimate and account terms before starting.

Can I correct an individual cue?

Yes. Supported cue revisions use the existing job without retranslating the whole file or charging translation minutes again. Check and review the revised result before delivery.

How long are jobs available?

Jobs are normally available for seven days. Export your results before expiry. Glossary, account and billing records have separate retention periods; see the privacy policy for details.

Is a person still responsible for review?

Yes. AI output and automated checks can miss issues. A qualified reviewer must check the translation and any audiovisual requirements before final delivery.
